Start with the operational problem
The project brief describes outdated, vulnerable, and partially compromised infrastructure that had failed prior security assessments. The plan frames modernization as both an operational stability and risk-reduction effort.
Define the target environment
The proposed environment includes routing, firewalling, managed switching, four servers, approximately 35 workstations, wireless access points, and two server racks, with reuse of salvageable equipment where appropriate.
Manage delivery as a system
Beyond the technical design, the plan covers procurement, configuration, security baselines, work sequencing, risk, stakeholders, and communications. This makes the transition easier to coordinate and track.
